. CHARCOAL When you are using charcoal draw lightly and don't press hard
. BLENDING Make sure that when you are blending you use a blending stick or q-tip because when you use you fingers the oil on your hands mix and it creates a sort of paste
. USE A REFERENCE, you can not draw with out using a reference, If you had come up with it sketch it first with regular pencils, then do it with your art supplies
. SKETCH IT FIRST! If you are not painting and building, you must sketch your idea first it will be so much more helpful if you sketch it
. FEEDBACK, you should as loved ones like parents or guardians for constructive feedback about your work, it will be helpful in the long run
. THE PERFECT SPACE, you need to have an art space, it doesn't need to be big but a suitable size for you pieces and so you can organize (you could try some thing like an art desk, but you will have to save up or ask for it as a gift)
. CLOTHES, make sure you have suitable clothes to ware like a baggy t-shirt or something you art willing to get dirty in because art is very messy.
